German police has spotted hundreds of stolen cars in the Tajikistan in the last couple of years. Stolen by the Lithuanian car mafia in Germany, they get false papers and then transported to the Central Asian country. Most of them are luxury cars from brands like Mercedes, BMW or Ranger Rover. Tajikistan is not willing to give these evidentially stolen cars back to their original owners in Germany. Rumors go that is because some of the them are now owned by the family of the Tajik president Emomalii Rahmon.
