The separation of Tel Aviv’s beach represents the inner conflict of the Israeli society: Different social groups gather at different sections of the beach. The „Arabic Beaches“ are in the South near Jaffa, the „Hippy Beach“ is located a little up north, the main beach for the middle class is centrally located, and the „Gay Beach“ is right next to the „Religious Beach“ for the orthodox community, which is separated by a wall and is opened on different days for women and men.
