Haithabu
For ADAC Reisemagazin - June 2011
Haithabu used to be the most Southern settlement of the Vikings. Nowadays it has been transformed into an open air museum. On weekends the Viking club "Opinn Sklojd" moves in to the small village. The club members try to live exactly the way people did in that same place 1000 years ago. They cook the food, wear the cloth and play the instruments and they have even build a Viking ship with which they sail the Western Baltic Sea which they call the "South Danisch Sea".
